| About THEO |
Don’t ask THEO where he’s from... he doesn’t have an answer. From Los Angeles to Kingston to Chicago (and several other places in between) this young artist has spent his life absorbing the sounds and struggles of diverse peoples throughout the world. Growing up in a myriad of cultures, THEO quickly gravitated to music, learning to appreciate the reggae greats such as Bob Marley and Steel Pulse in addition to the dancehall, hip-hop, soul, and acoustic singer-songwriters of his own generation. After many years spent learning to play various instruments, THEO began finding his own style, defining himself with an acoustic guitar and a raw, soulful voice.
In late 2006, THEO connected with renowned reggae producer Solomon Jabby and completed a 5 song EP entitled simply “Soundsystem.” This EP provided the framework from which THEO began shaping his sound and served as a fitting introduction to the music world. In a little over a year, THEO was able to move nearly 1,000 copies of this EP with steady touring throughout Southern California and the Midwest.
Having recently relocated to Chicago, THEO is currently in the studio recording his full-length debut album entitled “Clean Heart, Free Mind.” Album release date, tour dates, and a newly remodeled myspace are on their way...
